CLERMONT, FL – Scheduling a periodontal appointment shouldn’t feel complicated. At Clermont Periodontics & Implant Center, we’ve designed our scheduling process to be clear, flexible, and centered around getting you the care you need as efficiently and safely as possible.

Whether you’re scheduling a first visit, experiencing pain that needs urgent attention, or coordinating care through your general dentist, this guide explains how to book and what to expect.

How to Reach Our Office

Patients may contact our office in several convenient ways: phone call, text message (352-995-3225) or submitting a “Request a Consultation” form on our website.

Once we receive your call, text, or form submission, a member of our team will reach out to gather details and schedule the most appropriate appointment.

What Helps Us Schedule You Efficiently

Sharing a few key details upfront helps us place you in the right appointment and avoid unnecessary delays.

When contacting our office, please let us know:

  • What concern or symptoms you’re experiencing

  • Whether you are currently in pain, swollen, or believe you need urgent care

  • If you were referred by a general dentist

  • Your insurance information

  • Your general availability

Important: If you are in pain or believe you need to be seen the same day, please let us know right away so we can prioritize your care appropriately.

Scheduling Through Your General Dentist

Often, your general dentist may help initiate the scheduling process by sending a referral form directly to our office. Once the referral is received, our team will contact you to schedule your appointment.

This allows us to review clinical information in advance and coordinate care efficiently.

Why We Recommend Scheduling Within 24–48 Hours of a Referral

When a patient is referred to a periodontist, it is often best to schedule the appointment within 24 to 48 hours, when possible.

Referrals are commonly related to:

  • Active infection or inflammation

  • Pain or swelling

  • Complications that may worsen if treatment is delayed

  • Situations where a general dentist needs specialty support to move forward with care

Being seen promptly allows us to evaluate the situation early, relieve discomfort when appropriate, and help prevent progression that could require more complex treatment later.

Same-Day & Emergency Care

If you are experiencing pain, swelling, infection, or another urgent concern, same-day evaluation and treatment may be possible.

In urgent situations—such as:

  • Significant discomfort

  • Active infection

  • A general dentist requesting immediate specialty support

We do our best to schedule and treat patients on the same day, when clinically appropriate.

Saturday Surgery Availability

For patients who need surgical treatment and have limited weekday availability, surgical procedures are offered on Saturdays only.

Saturday surgery:

  • Is reserved for surgical care

  • Is scheduled in advance

  • Is subject to availability

Please mention this preference when contacting our office so we can guide you accordingly.

A Thoughtful, Patient-Centered Scheduling Approach

Our goal is to make scheduling as smooth and stress-free as possible. By gathering key information early and coordinating closely with referring dentists, we’re able to:

  • Prioritize urgent needs

  • Reduce delays

  • Support continuity of care

  • Help patients receive timely treatment

Our focus is always on getting you the care you need—when you need it.
