CLERMONT, FL – At Clermont Periodontics & Implant Center, many patients choose to proceed with treatment without dental insurance. This option is often called self-pay. Understanding how self-pay works can help patients feel more confident when planning for their periodontal or implant care.
What Does “Self-Pay” Mean?
Self-pay simply means the patient pays for their dental treatment directly instead of using dental insurance benefits.
Patients may choose to self-pay for several reasons:
• They do not have dental insurance
• Their insurance does not cover periodontal or implant treatment
• They prefer not to wait for insurance approvals
• They want clear pricing and fewer limitations on treatment options
At our office, we work with both insured and self-pay patients and are committed to helping each patient understand their financial options before treatment begins.
Your Periodontal Consultation
Your first visit to Clermont Periodontics & Implant Center is a comprehensive consultation with our periodontist.
During this appointment, our team will:
• Review your medical and dental history
• Evaluate your gums, bone levels, and oral health
• Review any referral information from your general dentist
• Take any necessary imaging or x-rays
• Discuss your diagnosis and treatment options
The consultation fee is $224.
If you move forward with treatment at our office, the full consultation fee is applied toward the cost of your treatment.
Benefits for Self-Pay Patients
We appreciate patients who choose to move forward with care directly. To support this option, self-pay patients receive a 10% reduction on treatment fees.
This approach allows patients to:
• Receive treatment without waiting on insurance determinations
• Know their costs upfront
• Benefit from reduced treatment pricing
Our team will review your treatment plan in detail so you understand the procedures, timeline, and financial expectations before scheduling.
Why Treat Periodontal Disease Early?
Periodontal disease is a progressive condition that affects the gums, bone, and support structures of the teeth. When left untreated, it can lead to:
• Gum recession
• Bone loss
• Tooth mobility
• Tooth loss
• More complex and costly treatment in the future
Seeking care early with a periodontist can help protect both your oral health and your long-term dental investment.
Financing Options Are Also Available
In addition to our self-pay discount, Clermont Periodontics & Implant Center offers patient financing options such as Cherry and CareCredit to help patients spread treatment costs into manageable monthly payments.
Our team is happy to review these options with you if needed.
