As our patient community expands and demand for advanced periodontal and implant care continues to rise, we are seeking a Part-Time Associate Periodontist who shares our commitment to exceptional dentistry, transparency, and compassionate patient care.

The practice is led by husband-and-wife team Dr. Kerwin Scott and Dr. Carjie Scott, who together bring a unique blend of clinical expertise, academic involvement, and community-centered leadership.

Dr. Kerwin Scott is a University of Florida–trained periodontist, a Meharry Medical College courtesy faculty member, and a United States Marine veteran. His commitment to evidence-based care, surgical precision, and patient comfort sets the tone for the practice.

Dr. Carjie Scott brings executive leadership, customer relations management systems, and community engagement that ensures the practice remains deeply connected to the families we serve. Together, they have created a specialty practice environment that is modern, welcoming, and driven by purpose.

A Modern Practice Designed for Clinical Excellence

Our facility combines advanced periodontal technology with a calming, patient-friendly environment. We utilize:

  • CBCT imaging

  • PRF therapy and guided tissue regeneration

  • Advanced periodontal surgical techniques

  • A fully digital workflow

  • A highly trained surgical support team

With increasing demand for our services, we are looking to welcome an associate two days per week, with Fridays and Saturdays being our highest-volume days.

What This Role Includes

The Associate Periodontist will work closely with our clinical team and referring dentists to:

  • Complete periodontal evaluations

  • Review medical and dental histories

  • Interpret diagnostic imaging

  • Create individualized treatment plans

  • Perform advanced periodontal surgery, soft tissue grafting, extractions, and implant placement

  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients

  • Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation

Qualifications and Experience

We are seeking a clinician who values:

Requirements:

  • DDS or DMD

  • Periodontics Specialty Certificate

  • Active Florida dental license (or eligibility)

  • Experience with implants, grafting, and periodontal surgery

  • Comfort with CBCT, PRF, and digital workflows preferred

  • IV sedation permit (preferred but not required)
